what this quote says is that being a basketball player doesn't really mean anything. Because you don’t have to be a professional player of any sport just to be someone important. An example can be like a veteran they are people that help the country. That doesn't mean that they are important. Anyone can be important for anything, but what matters most is being important for being a good person with good character, doing good things, choosing the right decisions, and much more.

Write down what you want most and see it often" -Peter Vidmar This means to never give p your goals for something you want right away. an example of this can be like if you want to be a professional athlete. You have t have goals in order to get to it. You need short term goals in order to get to your long term goal. For me my goal is to be a baseball player and play for the school. In order for me to do that i have to practice a lot, run faster and be ready for anything. These are things that i can do for short term goals. But when it comes to a long term goal you wont be able o accomplish it right away. Another example can be if you want to be good at something you cant just throw it away and do something else instead. If you really want that then you have to prepare for it.
