This means to never give p your goals for something you want right away. an example of this can be like if you want to be a professional athlete. You have t have goals in order to get to it. You need short term goals in order to get to your long term goal. For me my goal is to be a baseball player and play for the school. In order for me to do that i have to practice a lot, run faster and be ready for anything. These are things that i can do for short term goals. But when it comes to a long term goal you wont be able o accomplish it right away. Another example can be if you want to be good at something you cant just throw it away and do something else instead. If you really want that then you have to prepare for it. You have to set up short term goals to reach. Once you reach them you have to set a long term goal and you have to keep practicing or keep doing whatever it is in order to reach that goal.
